About OURO Health
OURO Health takes its name from the ouroboros symbol, which depicts a snake swallowing its tale – a symbol of infinity and cyclical renewal.
Our Challenge
Today, 276 million tonnes of plastics are produced annually – 13 million tonnes of which leaks into the ocean every year. Only 7% of plastics are recovered and make their way back into the supply chain as recycled material. Under a business-as-usual scenario, recycled plastics are projected to more than triple by 2040 with 86% either landfilled or incinerated. The Pandemic has made matters worse. This can’t continue.
We need to produce products differently so that they can be re-used, re-purposed, and re-cycled back into the circular economy.
Our Purpose
OURO Health is committed to securing a future where recycled PPE products are returned back into the manufacturing stream so that they can be used to re-produce new PPE.
Our Process
OURO Health is working with progressive waste disposal and medical equipment manufacturers to bring circular, low impact, and bio-based products to market in Canada and beyond.
To start, we’re promoting locally made PPE from select manufactures with shared environment values who plan to produce low impact products like recycled masks, or biodegradable gowns.

Our Industry Partners
We work with partners across Canada to collect, re-form, and re-use medical PPE waste. In cooperation with these companies, we are creating and promoting a fully circular and sustainable supply chain for PPE.

MEA Health is a Canadian owned and operated medical waste company that diverts plastic PPE waste away from landfills to instead be recycled into additional forms of PPE.
LifeCycle Revive
LifeCycle Health uses recovered medical PPE waste from companies like MEA Health, to create recycled plastic pellets that can be used in the manufacturing of new forms of PPE.
